Each student is responsible for his/her own attendance clock-in.
Enrollment takes place by having the students place their finger on a fingerprint sensor, scanning their finger. SCALP identifies the minutiae points in their fingerprint, converts and encrypts them, and saves the encrypted result in a template in the database. This template is what SCALP compares with the students real fingerprint during verification. The fingerprint image is discarded from memory. After enrollment, the next time their fingerprint is scanned, SCALP verifies the true identity of students and marks them present in attendance.
